What's with all these earthquakes?
Is this normal? Should we be alarmed?

What the hell is going on?

I don't believe in God, but if I did, I'd swear he was trying to tell us something....

Take it from a Californian, dozens of earthquakes happen every week all around the world. People are just picking and choosing through the news and making it sound all apocolyptic.

As an experiment, go to the US Geological Survey and look through all of the earthquakes that happened last year. Nothing unusual.

Or annoint yourself with holy oil.

Your choice.

4. Yep.
The news of EQs is just being used to ramp up our collective paranoiac misery. God forbid rational response to such things should enter the national psyche.

Didn't FDR say "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself?" Someone in the * Adminstration read that one day (for the first time, no doubt) and said to himself, "Hey, that Frank guy was onto something.... yeah.... be afraid of FEAR!" and picked up the phone and yelled, "hey, Karl! Great idea!"

2. It has all the earmarks of Al Qaeda. Good thing we're on Orange Alert

There would be a lot more earthquakes if they had left it at Yellow.

3. In general, very normal,
if you check in regularly at www.usgs.gov you will get a sense of what normal might be like. Of course for the localities that get bumped hard it isn't "normal" at all.

5. It happens...
This isn't really an unusual number of quakes, it's more of a matter of people currently paying attention to the number of quakes in the media.

I've noticed whenever there has been a major quake that caused casualties that can be easily covered (such as in California or in a large fairly modern metropolitan area elsewhere in the world), there's also a lot more notice to subsequent quakes in the news.

8. Remain Calm
Remain calm. Breath into your bag. Place your head between your knees. Everything will be fine. The war is over. The economy has recovered. Amerika's best days are ahead of us.

The current spate of seismic upheavals you are noticing are merely a secondary side-effect of the magnetic pole reversal about to occur on Earth.

Dinky is coming...
