8. Whoa. And I bet it will hurt if you step on it in the dark.

We used to have a scale: 1) assembly; 2) bad instructions mistranslated from the original Chinese dialect; 3) makes horrible, obnoxious noise; 4) hurts like hell when you step on it with bare feet in the dark.

lol

:hi:

9. This WILL be going to my son's house
Edited on Sat Dec-23-06 05:26 PM by Whoa_Nelly
in a couple of days. Santa is leaving g-daughter (age 4) a big ol' card saying there's a special surprise left at Grammy's house for her.

She has been soooooooo jonesing for this kichen for months! Got her a Little Tikes kitchen three years ago, so will take that one to have at my house in the kid room I have.

Asked her last night what she really, really! wanted Santa to bring. She said, "A Magical Princess kitchen. But, I don't know if Santa is going to bring it, but, I sure hope so!" and then rambled on about how she would play with it, who would come over to play, and that it has everything!

My son has no idea I got this for her
Asked him if he was going to get it for her, and he said no because she already has a kitchen and will get over it if she doesn't get one.

It's gonna be fun to at least once make that childhood Santa bring me please jonesing dream come true for her! :bounce:

on edit: Damn this MacBook font is too small...

13. I don't suppose you're worried about your granddaughter picking up gender stereotypes?
I'm not trying to be snarky, the toy looks super fun and I'm sure she'll love it, but maybe you could get her a set of toy tools to go with it?

16. Also got her a soccer goal net
a Bop-It! type toy that is for addition and subtraction, and many other gifts that have to do wtih her wide-ranging interests.

However, she's 4, totally into Ariel, and has been talking about this kitchen for months. I, as her Grammy, will call upon Santa to come through for her...

Stereotyping be damned! ;)

14. Does the oven buzz and then does Ariel's voice sing: "Flounder's Ready!"
(you'd have to have seen the movie to get that...)

17. Actually, it does say something when the oven light goes off and dings
but I'm too deaf to understand it. Will pay attention to it and let you know :-)

(have seen the movie umpteen times with her...I get the silly joke :D )

15. Does it say...
"Stay in the kitchen, female urchin!" ?

or

"Bake me some cookies, or I'll beat you!" ?

or

"Don't even BEGIN to figure how Princess Ariel goes along with the concept of a play kitchen." ?

;)

Just kidding of course. I'm sure the little one getting this toy will enjoy it. :hi:

18. To her, it IS special, she calls it
The Magical Talking Princess Kitchen...and am sure, along with the soccer goal net, the Bop it! addition/subtraction toy, and more, she will have a well-rounded and contented Christmas for a 4-year old.

You're only 4 once. It's a magical age. Am just lucky I get to be a part of it and get to help make it happen...I do love her so.

19. Just want to add...
She thoroughly enjoys cooking with her dad (my son). The two of them whip up delicious treats and other yummy dishes 2-3 times a week. My son works 12 hour days, and then goes home to focus completely on his family. Cooking ain't just for women
