Anybody watching the Africam, only one animal.
I just discovered something with Window Media Player 11.

If you click on the top arrows on the right hand side, a little video window pops up so one can post on DU and watch the watering hole at the same time.

2. they are really beautiful
I've learned a lot of interesting things from that cam. I never knew before how difficult it is for a giraffe to drink water. Or that the coloring of a spotted hyena is pretty in daylight. Or that warthogs are such filthy wallowers!

3. The giraffes do have to kneel down to drink.
I have seen everything so far but the lions and elephants live.

Now with this little video window I might.

4. Great tip
thanks!. I was watching all day earlier. There was the wildest singing/chanting going on for a short period...followed by wild screaiming. Freaky.

Before that I watched a warthog have a mud bath...lots of zebra action.

5. Just tuned in. Nothin' going on right now.
However, it's "early" in AfricaLand, so I know that the animals will be along soon. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

6. My Aunt's two cats are sitting here listening to the background noise.
I hooked up some surround sound speakers on my Aunts computer, the cats are looking around trying to find the source of the sounds.

12. It was twilight -- the night cam was not on yet.
It was starting to get dark and rainey. There were loads of animals in the background, too far for the camera to really capture up close -- looked like lions and some sort of hooved guys (gnus??) taking cover under the trees in the distance. The giraffe was the only guy at the hole.

It is storming like crazy right now -- I think that is keeping the animals under tree cover and away from the hole.
