when all your dime dancing is through
The most important thing you need is "9"
drop the 3 and play the 2
and don't lose that number, Rikki.

6. It's called a "Mu Major" chord. |
|
Major triad with an added 2nd or 9th. I have no idea of the fingerings. I think the third (?) is usually voiced low (in the bass).

7. This may help, it worked for me... |
|
1. Have all of the fingers on your right hand broken and then surgically lengthened, (left hand if you're one of those...), an inch is usually sufficient. 2. Complete 6-8 months of occupational therapy. 3. Complete 4-6 years of Guitar theory at any somewhat reputable music school, I recommend Berkley. 4. Undertake a "functional" opium habit.
There you go.
p.s. Walter Becker is not really from this planet. He is in fact an alien with far superior guitar skills over us mere humans. I wish you luck.

8. Although keep in mind Becker didn't play on any of the Dan albums |
|
Up until Katy Lied, I think.
They shopped their solos around to the best session player.
Nonetheless, Becker is a God.

9. He did play on the Aja album... |
|
But there were a couple of other monsters on there as well, LarryCarlton, and Danny Dias. Oh, and let's not forget, Lee Ritenour. All from another planet...
