I bought a house earlier this year (yep, the market was red-hot here, things have calmed down a lot now, so probably should have waited, but that's another story). Out of the blue last night I knew what I wanted to do to the patio area, expand the patio and line it with tropical plants. But I don't know anything about tropical plants, so I started googling. Wound up on
this site, and started marveling at all the pics of exotic plants. After exploring the site, went back to the homepage and noticed a big prominent link to
this site - "Declare Christmas!"
Well, I was a little full of the holiday cheer, if you know what I mean, so I decided to share my feelings with the people who run the plant site. I told them that I thought they were a bunch of easily led, non thinking for themselves fox news viewers who sully and ruin that which they claim to want to protect. I told them they have brought into the latest fake crisis - just as the run-up to the Iraq war was a fake crisis and the danger from gay marriage was a fake crisis. I ended by telling them I wouldn't buy a potato from them. Yeah, I kinda vented a little. And I supplied my real email address because I kinda wanted a response.
Well, no response came, but I went back to that site this afternoon, and guess what, the big, prominent link to the DC site was gone. Just not there when less than 24 hours ago it was front and center.
I can't help thinking I might have had something to do with that, and I hope so. This whole WOC is a crock, as I'm sure most here know. It is the silliest thing I've seen yet from the right to try to manipulate the still sheeping drones into yet another fit of outrage against the evil rest of the country.
