My sister invited a Shi'ite Muslim for Christmas last night....
He is a Physician Assistant in the local ER and we waited for him and had a wonderful time...

He told us they made him work cause he didn't have a family, he's single....

He told us that back in Iran, they did not celebrate Christmas although it was considered a holy day...

I said well that makes sense...

Cause thid sounds so much better....

"On the twentieth Day of Ramandan Allah gave to me...."

He thought that was pretty darn funny....

5. Earlier in the day....
I waited on a guy just back from Iraq...

He is going back next November....

I asked him if he believed there would be a draw down...

He replied, the Army isn't acting like there would be...

6. It sucks that they made him work because he is single
I would have raised holy hell. I may not have a "family" but I have relatives and friends I'd like to see. That kind of discrimination is just crap. But I am sure it goes on all the time. We never have to work on Christmas at my job but we take turns being around so everyone gets a vacation (if they want) for at least 4 out of 5 years.
