Is it even possible for Time to have come up with a lamer "Person of the Year"?
I just now heard this, so excuse my tardiness. I really thought the YouTube guys would get it. They were the freshest thing, if not the most important thing, to happen in our public lives in this country. The summed up the promise of the age of cyber participation--which seems to be Time's idea in naming "You" as their Person of the Year.

I'm trying to think what choices they could have made that would be lamer: David Spade for making his amazing comeback representing the eternal American manchild. That dude who married Britney Spears briefly (or mabye even that other dude who married Britney Spears briefly) for showing us how mercernary and shallow our celebrity obsessed culture is. Miriam Webster's dictionary for having the balls to make Colbert's 'truthiness' the word of the year a mere twelve months after somebody else named truthiness the most important word for 2005.

Any other suggestions for lamest possible Person of the Year award?
