I dreamed I met Al Gore.

I meet all kinds of famous people in my dreams. This one went like this:

It was an "expo" like setting and Gore had a table there. As I was approaching, I realized I was wearing my old winter coat and earmuffs, no makeup, and looked like a dork - but, what the hell. I realized I had only a brief time, and had important things to tell him. He was very approachable and warm and funny as he greeted me, and I started out by telling him I'd seen him twice when he came to my school (true in the waking world), and that I'd been a fan of his for many years (also true), and he seemed pleased and somewhat surprised; then I launched into the really important message that I felt I needed to convey: "You absolutely must run for President in '08!" I got so enthused about it that I was banging on the table to underscore my words. His response was a pleased and amazed, "Oh wow!", like he'd never heard that sentiment before, though I knew that wasn't true, so it came off as a bit artificially self-deprecating - but then he grew serious and said, "Go to my web site and use the contact form, and send that to me in writing before March 1st." The implication was that if there was enough of a response by that date, he'd seriously consider it.

So, um ... does he have a web site with a contact form? If so, maybe we should write to him there! :)

BTW, I've almost met Bill Clinton in several dreams, but I always either just missed him, or someone prevented me from talking to him, or he was rushing past me and didn't notice me. However, one of my dogs once met him in a dream. Go figure. :)

www.algore.com ... I don't know if there's a contact form, though, I didn't see one.

And, yes, he is incredibly nice in person, so you got that part right! When I met him I wore my "Earth Can't Wait - Gore 2008" button and he had a look at it, smiled, and said, "That's a new one, I haven't see that one yet!"
