You don't have to smoke outside our house but.....
...from now on you do have to leave your cell phones outside when visiting our home if you're an immature punk (a.k.a. future son-in-law). Everytime he visits he just has to have his cell phone on his person and every ten seconds it rings or the Nextel thing beeps.

"Yo' dog! Whaddup?", "Bitch, ain't nobody commin' to pick yo' sorry ass up to go to yo' sorry ass sistah's!"

Mrs. DTW said something first this time. "Turn off that damn phone or go outside and use it!"

1. Gosh, I'm sorry
I admire you for not knocking him on his ass. Impressive show of restraint.

2. Actually...
...the wife beat me to it this time. She's usually more passive and I always get criticized (by my stepdaughter) for being old fashioned and out of touch for complaining and telling her boyfriend to pull his friggin' pants up before he even steps foot on my property and to not have his stupid-ass, boom-boom music playing when he pulls in our driveway. That is when his car is running and it has a valid tag.

Except for their three hour visit....I had a wonderful holiday and hope you had the same  :hi:

3. I really did, thanks
Quiet and relaxing, with my beloved man and our cat. There are times when I'm very grateful to be 3000 miles away from my family. Christmas wishes over the phone, then blessed peace. :hi:

4. Not too excited about their nuptials?
We're going through that with our niece. Mr. Cool not only gets arrested on a regular basis, but had graduated to physical abuse.
They got married in a bar, and for their first anniversary, in October, he put her in the hospital.

He knows he's not welcome in our homes, so we don't see him anymore. Sadly, niece is already married to the jerk, so she feels like she's got to stick with him.

For some reason, women love bad boys more than ever before. They don't realize that they (women) have the power to change society, by rejecting irresponsible jerks. Men would learn that they'll have to behave themselves if they want women, and many of society's problems will be diminished. As long as they can be assholes, and still get women, they're not going to change.

5. In my stepdaughter's case
Edited on Tue Dec-26-06 09:55 AM by DaveTheWave
I think she sells herself short for being a little overweight and even though she denies it, I'm positive that he's the type of jerk that constantly tells her, "Go ahead and break up with me, nobody else will want you because you're fat....bitch!". He's already taught her it's okay to write bad checks because if she gets arrested or gets a judgment against her, that her parents "with all that money they got" will bail her out of jail and pay off the judgments to keep her out of jail. That's where about 70% of our savings earmarked for her college tuition eventually went, paying off the debts, the court costs, the attorney's fees, damages, etc.

6. sorry to read this but, in the misery loves company vein
glad to see that other people are having to deal with stuff like this...

TheSmoker's youngest is hanging out with crackheads (or crystal meth heads when they can't get the crack) and probably smoking it herself...

has put a DEFINITE strain on our "pseudo" relationship...

8. They're both 21
At least it says so by their birth certificates. Their maturity level and respect for others is lower than that of a five year old though.

9. Wow.
I hope they're not typical of that age. I'm marginally older than them, but nowhere near as immature.
