CONFESS!!!! What did Santa get you?
Actually one of my presents I got before Xmas was 4 new tires for my car. But my step-sister's family got me the 70th Anniversary edition of Monopoly, which I love because it's such a nice package and I love Monopoly

5. A nikon coolpix camera, YAY!
I am taking it to Paris with me in March! A friend is studying at the Sorbonne and I will sleep on her apartment floor for a week. Hope I can still walk at the end of my visit, my back will complain for sure. BUT! I am going to see the Louvre and Notre Dame, and the Left Bank and the Eiffel Tower! I can't believe I am really going!

13. It's hard to tell
my family does not foist Christmas presents on me until New Years Eve. I kinda wish they wouldn't, although I am using one of their presents right now (an electric space heater) and wearing another (an insulated red shirt).
One thing I bought for myself was a bag of chocolate chips - a luxury I rarely indulge in. It is an open question whether I can avoid eating them all before I bake cookies on Friday.
With any luck the grocery store will have brown and serve rolls on sale today.
Plus, I got a Cowboy's loss. I'm not sure if Santa was responsible, or if it was Westbrook or the Eagles' defensive co-ordinator, but it was a great present nonetheless.

17. Santa didn't bring me what I wanted
I asked for David Hewlett (my latest crush!) to be delivered without the girlfriend, but it never happened. I'll just have to wait for my birthday and ask again.

Barring that, I got a couple of books and some chocolate covered cherries--the good kind, not those over sweet fake ones.

I ordered this one (motor is below deck therefore less to trip on):

But they sent this one (motor above deck and bulky):

So I have to ship it back and have it replaced.

Was my brother getting me the DVDs of the old TV show "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" with Gil Gerard & Erin Grey. I used to love that show when I was a kid.

Other than that, some clothes and Season 2 & 2.5 of Battlestar Galactica on DVD.

Which makes me sad because unlike the Philly big stars like Cunningham, Iverson, Lindros et al - McNabb is 110% pure class.

36. A police scanner radio, so I can sell a few more pics to the newspapers.
They pay REALLY slow, but it gets me out of the office once in a while.

And the best part? you can put in your car when traveling, so you can listen and find out where the speed traps are.

Whee! It's only going to take me three hours to get to Vermont next time, instead of five!

Oh, and also the puppy and kitten.

39. Everyone's gotten such great stuff!
Edited on Tue Dec-26-06 09:34 PM by NewWaveChick1981
:hi: I got a 4 GB iPod Nano yesterday, and I've already put 702 songs on it from my CD collection. I still have to transfer my vinyl stuff to MP3 and download some other songs I really want. I may need another iPod to hold the rest... :P

Also got a very generous gift of stock in three companies from my mom. :) She gave me the maximum dollar value allowable under law without tax consequences. Thanks, Mom! :D

Also got the following: nice jewelry box, new pair of dress shoes, assorted sweaters, jeans, and skirts, candy (which I DON'T need but enjoy anyway!), and new sports bras. :woohoo:

What I bought myself: a big Sephora.com order, which was obscenely expensive but stuff I both needed and wanted :P and a very, VERY naughty order from my favorite website (besides DU). ;) Everything arrived before Christmas, which was great!

Lots of candy, a Frank Sinatra two-disk collection, two Christmas CDs, new earbuds, The Best Of The Match Game on DVD, and I think that's it for the stocking stuff.

ETA a 500 piece puzzle too.
