This is a very stressed-out cat. Meet Nila:

She is Little Bunny's cat. She's a blue point Siamese, about 8 months old. She had a really stressful holiday because Baby Bunny's dad was here with his Jack Russell Mix. That little dog wanted to eat the cat, so she had to be confined to her bedroom for the duration. She was NOT happy about that. She's still anxious but happy to have the run of the house again.

I do believe this is my first cat picture post. :woohoo:

2. Confined the dog?? Ha!
That little guy would have burrowed out from under the door! He's a cute little guy, and very sweet natured. He got along well with our two dogs, but for some reason he was homicidal when it came to the cat. He didn't care much for the hamster either, but she was way up out of his reach.

5. I hear ya...if I ever tried to confine
my dog I would just end up purchasing a new door and paying someone to repair the hole she would chew through the walls.

3. Poor kitty. JRTs can be relentless.
We've got a detente worked out in our house between the kitty and 2 of the 3 JRTs. (the 3rd (male, I probably do not have to say) still needs to be in the 'playpen' when the cat's in the house. :eyes:

6. I'm amazed that you have a detente of any sort, so I have to give
you props for that.

Our little JRT is as cute as can be, and he wisely formed an alliance with the big galoot-ish Golden Retriever against the small but very feisty Pug. It was funny to see all the dogs working out the pecking order!

Even though she's 11 years old, she's still my baby. :)

9. Yes, on occasion.
She's pretty mellow for the most part, but she has her hyper moments.

She had a seizure about two weeks after we got her - freaked us all out. She hasn't had one since, but I'm always watchful when I see her fly madly around the house and then suddenly lie down.

14. Forlorn comes to mind
Confinement is one thing but because of a dog?? The injustice of it all. Harumph!
