Ok, I used spybot: search and destroy, and i think it fucked something up in my computer. I restarted after using Spybot, and now my IE doesn't work, nor do any websites work using aol. Everytime i try to load a site the screen just stays blank and the link turns to "res://CWINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm"...Anyone know what i can do to fix this?

1. what version of winblows do you have? |
|
if it's ME or XP you can do a system restore to yesterday or whatever and it will fix it until you figure out the problem.

3. Spybot keeps the back-ups for you doesn't it.? |
|
Any files it deletes it keeps in back-up. Do a search from the program.

startbar>accessories>system tools>system restore.
it's very easy, you just pick a day or time you want to restore to and the computer will revert back to that setting.
i've had to use it a few times and it worked great.

6. Do you have IE version 6.0 |
|
Also, check to see if Spybot deleted this file C:\windows\system\shdoclc.dll
This file is apparently the usual cause for that error. If it gets deleted (which some anti-virus programs will do) or changed, you get the error you asre seeing.

You can reverse any changes Spybot made to your system. Simply click the recovery button under the normal check for problems one.
