1. A-Ha and "the Dead" really aren't that much of an outrage to be included among one-hit wonders

I don't know any song "A-HA" has ever done and every Grateful Dead album I've listened to is so awful the only song I could ever remember is the one I have heard played the most on radio, touch of grey, a song which while not awful is not particularly good either.

11. I guess they're using the "technical" definition:

Several of these folks had long careers, well-known music, popular albums--but they only had one song in the Top 40 (or whatever number is used) charts. Though I suppose it's technically correct, it's a strange definition.

I guess I would have not thought of grouping Hendrix, Joplin and the Grateful Dead in that category. I always associate One Hit Wonders with
