4. There's still the "timing" conspiracies... |
|
He died suspiciously close to the Rose Bowl game, where his Alma Mater team will ge a helluva "Gipper" speech before meeting USC.
Coincidence? Yeah, right!
(go blue)

11. Yeah, well, I thought they'd have a lock on that one. |

Sometimes even my best-thought-out conspicracy theories just fall flat. If I was any good at conspiracy theories I'd be Oliver Stone. Instead of just a bozo.

6. I thought Gerald Ford was a pretty decent guy. |
|
Certainly not the greatest President we've ever had. But I don't think he was the personification of evil that I seem to be reading about over there. I guess that's just me.

I am pretty sure he had no choice but to pardon Nixon. Sometimes I think people just like to bitch.

8. While we were at the airport in Minneapolis this morning... |
|
we were watching quite a bit of news coverage.
I said to my husband, "I know what the topic of conversation is going to be today on DU. Someone will say something disparaging about Ford, someone else will defend him, people will jump in about speaking ill of the dead, and the whole thing will devolve into a flame war."
Was I right?
