There is snow on the mountains this year, last year not, at this time.

Downhill skiers wish there were more...some slopes icy. Cross-country is fine.

15. Here in St Louis MO it's supposed to
get up to 71 degrees...Yes 71 degrees on January 2. Yet Shrub says there is no such thing as global warming.

I think winter makes a return appearance on Sunday because then it's supposed to be in the 30s with a wintry mix of stuff.

37. Unseasonably warm, and unsettled.
It's been in the 60's today and foggy. It's still 58, and there's a storm front moving in that's bringing rain which will change to snow on Saturday night/Sunday morning. VERY unusual weather, for January...

39. 'Way up here, it's only 23 below. It was 34 below this morning.
And it's snoggy (snowing a little, very fine flakes, and foggy). Nothing unusual - well, actually, it's WARMER than usual for January. We're now gaining almost 3 minutes a day of daylight (still not much, just over 3 hours per day).

But the northern lights have been magical the last few days!
