11. When my wife and I started dating...

She had a beautiful long-haired white cat that absolutely HATED me. He was a male and felt competition when I came around. For a couple of years I was hissed at, spit at, scratched and bitten. Fortunately, this only happened with I surprised him (walking into a room and catching him off-guard). Usually, we kept our distance and our paths rarely crossed.
