My good deed for Boxing Day

I stopped by this factory yesterday to pick up some spare parts for one of my Christmas presents, only to find a sign indicating that they were closed until January. Unfortunately, someone forgot to lock the front door.

I peeked inside just long enough to see if there was anyone inside, but no luck. And there was material in the lobby just sitting there for the taking.

So I headed to the nearest phone booth and called the cops to come and check out the building to make sure everything was okay. Within five minutes, two squad cars had descended on the building. I let them be and continued on my merry way, content to wait until January for my stuff.

Then again, there's always eBay. Whatever. No big rush.
