I assert that you can not use the f-bomb and the word "flummox" or any derivative thereof, in a sentence together. It sounds ridiculous. If someone made the aforementioned statement, regardless of their level of agitation, I would laugh (or at least snort) because it sounds so funny. What an overbearing word that "flummox" is. Someone should kick its ass.

Irregardless. I heard this officer the other day use that word, and I felt it necessary to mention to him that, although it's a commonly used word, it isn't even a word, and could not be found in any dictionary. He looked at me and said, "So? What's your point?" And this is the leadership I'm supposed to follow? Geeeesh.

10. Same thing happened to me and a judge once

A male judge I was working for used the word "irregardless". I told him it was a double negative, and not a real word. He ignored me.

Then later, the Assistant D.A. and the Defense Counsel (both male) told him the same thing, and he changed what he was writing, when THEY said it.

Moral of the story: Women are to be ignored. They don't know anything about English.
