Poll question: Best song written specifically for a movie |
|
Since they only allow 10 choices, I had to just pick 10. If you like something other than these, please reply with it.

However, are you sure Henry Mancini wrote "Moon River" for Breakfast at Tiffany's? I thought it was already a popular song when it was used in the film - but I could definitely be wrong.

9. I have to go with "Moon River" |
|
It was a very nice addition to "Breakfast at Tiffany's"
I would add another song..."The Look of Love" from "Casino Royale". God, the movie was hideous...but the song is very nice. One of Burt Bachrach's best, imo.

My first choice for best song written specifically for a movie would have to be Melissa Manchester singing, 'Through the Eyes of Love' for the movie, 'Ice Castles'.

It's just so cool to think about Bruce kicking back down at the shore (not far from Mom and Repuke Stepdad's weekend place), squeezing Patti's hand (or points south) while glancing over at the Oscar in his trophy case.
