So what's everybody drinking on New Year's Eve? |
|
Be specific on brand name and type. Usually I get champagne, but still deciding what to get.

5. I don't deserve such happiness. I get to keep drunks in line instead of being one. (NT) |

I have a big bottle of Jack Daniel's, or a big bottle of St Remy Napoleon brandy, or trial size bottles each of Glenfiddich, Cutty Sark, and Famous Grouse (those are all Scotch whiskeys.)
I'll be staying in, so I may sample a scotch, or I may drink heavier and go for the Jack or brandy.
Depends how much I get done Saturday, and Sunday day, and whether I need to do anything Monday. :)

I like my "champagne" cheap.

13. Both Pinot Noir and Friexinet (sp?) champagne |
|
We are going to a restaurant without a liquor license but they do allow BYOB. It's actually cheaper. They have a $2 corkage charge, tho. We'll have the Pinot Noir with our dinner (I'm having venison!) and then a toast with champagne and with our dessert (I'm having Persimmon Panna Cotta, a Northern Italian kind of soft pudding).

Got a bottle of Asti chillin'
We'll drink that, then head for the basement at midnight, until all the celebratory gunfire ceases.

18. Well, there's still plenty of wine, red and white, left over from Christmas, |
|
and a bottle or two of the local hard cider. But I'm thinking of picking up a bottle of Brut at the liquor store. Genuine Champagne is a little too dry for my tastes.

20. Depends. If we go to the rich people's party, champagne to wash down the cocaine. |
|
But still not sure if we're going.
If at home, Finlandia. Couple glasses of Piper-Heidseick at midnight.

Am celebrating the passing of a truly horrendous year. The only redeeming factor was the Democrats winning. Personally, 2006 sucked.
So, to 2006: Don't let the door hit you on the ass when you leave. :toast:
