Is that a tax cut thing? (i'm married, no kids and make around 50k). It's 2004 could it have gone into effect? I wasn't expecting that much.

1. No way to tell without more information

Insurance changes?
401(k) changes?
other taxes?

Witholding rates were changed to coincide with the cut, but I'm pretty sure they went out of their way to change them in July (or whatever) so people would see cash in their pocket right away.

The easiest way to tell is to compare the federal witholding line to last month's and see if your w-4 exemption figure has changed.
