4. I have that effect on people... |
|
Yesterday when I went to the clinic, they had changed location and swapped their G.P. (general practitioner) clinic with the O.B.G.Y.N.... After being informed of the relocation I scurried over there... when I entered the building I got lost... when I got to the proper reception desk (there are 4 of them in the new complex!) I was panting and puffing, and not in a good way. They told me to take it easy and I responded the situation of events that led to me huffin' and puffin' that because I'm a new patient I had to be in early to fill out the paperwork... they still said it was okay. I then added that if I had an O.B.G.Y.N. issue I wouldn't have been late at all... It was gratifying to hear the laughter, it's the first time I made a "conscious funny". :D

10. This is how you tell.... |
|
If you sweat all over your body, like you've just finished a cardio workout, get rid of the down comforter and turn the heat down.
If you sweat only from the top of your chest upward and it feels like someone turned a furnace blast on right under your boobs, if your love handles are growing outwards till they're parallel with your hips and you're screaming at everyone you once used ducet tones with....
That is menopause. And remember: Meno pauses for no woman!!!!
Personally, I've been thinking of having a going-away party for my estrogen. But it's taking a LONG BLOODY TIME to say goodbye!!!

11. I have that problem sometimes |
|
My doctor thought that it had to with my sleep cycles not being completely right, although I've never been tested. I think that it has to do with starting off cold and having a lot of blankets. Our bedroom is drafty so I am cold when I get into bed and am generally feeling cold when I lose consciousness. I generally wear top and bottom pajamas (now that it is cold) and socks and have one sheet, two thick comforters, and three fleece blankets. If I don't take all my clothes off at some point and a few blankets, I wake up sweating. My husband stays up later than me and says that I heat up the bed too much. Thermo regulation in cold weather has always been a problems for me. If I wear too few clothes, I get too cold to the point of frostbite and/or hypothermia. If I wear too many clothes, even starting out feeling cold, I end up too warm and sweating. When I was a runner, I ended up messing up a couple times on this and I was pretty much in for bad times if my route started with me running with the wind against my back and ended with me running into a cold wind. As for sleeping in a cold room, I had the habit since I was little of bundling up heavily and thermoregulating by taking things off and/or sticking limbs out. If I slept too soundly, sweating happened.
