so who else has never used "hide thread" or "ignore"?
I think they're great features, and sometimes I find myself wishing that some posters would use them more often--as much as I love the "enough about X" threads filled with "the hide thread feature is your friend" posts.

But as for me, I've never hidden a thread or put a poster on ignore. (I'm saving it for a special occasion, I guess.) Anyone else?

1. I've only put someone on ignore once...
and it was by accident.

I haven't hidden many threads. I'd miss out on too many good thoughts and events
if I did.

2. I have used both.
Sometimes folks are just too much to take. I don't pick fights or flame, I just click one or the other.
Helps the blood pressure.

3. I never used "hide thread" or ignore in 2 and 1/2 years but...
2 months ago I had to put 2 jerks on my ignore list!

Damn! After all that time...

I thought I would be the first DUer to

never put someone on ignore but...I failed...

Hey! Nobody's perfect!

4. I use the "Hide Thread" option all the time..
The copycat threads are usually really stupid.

Stomping on idiots is half the fun of boards like this. Why would I want to hide them?

7. I've used "hide thread" alot
Mostly when GD goes insane like w/ The Pope and Saddam; it's always the same people screaming at each other and it gets old quick. I used "ignore" once on somebody, but couldn't remember why I used it in a few days, so it kinda defeated the purpose for me..

9. I used "ignore" once
But took the person off because I was too curious about what he/she was saying. :P

Oh, and I once put someone on ignore by accident.

I usually only use the "hide thread" feature on threads that are repeatedly kicked for days and weeks at a time.

13. Nope. I'm too lazy,
and where "ignore" is concerned, I just don't generally get that worked up about other people and their quirks.

16. I have 10 threads hidden right now
...down from a high of 19 last week. All africam posts.

(The africam doesn't play on my computer, so I hide the threads.)

I don't tend to do a lot of ignoring otherwise.

19. I use it that way
I can do africam but other stuff I hide. I bet I had 20 threads hidden last night. Some stuff is just trying.

I've only used ignore once, briefly, but I found it so annoying that I just switched to using hide thread for that person. Hide thread is an all-purpose perk, I love it. The only thing I don't like about it is that it kicks you out of the forum and you have to click back in. I hope someday if possible they will change it so you can just click, click, click right down the column without ever leaving the lounge.

24. I use 'hide thread' all the time
I only put one person on ignore but took them off because I didn't like how it would say "ignored" everytime that person posted.

30. I've never used those features.
If I don't want to read a thread, I don't. And I find it more interesting to read things from people who post idiotic or flamebait threads. :P That way, I know what's going on and I can stay far, far away from them. :)
