Melatonin: Have you tried it? Good/bad results?
Do tell. I'm still jetlagged as all get-out and am thinking about using it to help me sleep. Do you have any experience with it?

2. Works good for me. I work shift work
and when on day shift 6am-2pm I would wake up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep. I have been taking Melotonin when I work day shift for several years now and don't have that problem anymore although most mornings I still wake up a couple minutes before the alarm goes off.

3. It generally works for me. I sometimes go through periods where I
wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep for no particular reason. Taking melatonin for a night or two seems to reset my biological clock.

5. That is exactly what's happening to me!
I have no problem getting to sleep, but I certainly have problems STAYING asleep! It's ridiculous!

Helps me sleep like a baby, but I have funky dreams when using it sometimes...

when I haven't been getting enough sleep because I read too much in bed. (When I've been reading too much, I take it to force myself to go to sleep.)

I use 1 mg sometimes, 3 mg sometimes, depending upon circumstances. I find 3 mg makes me fall asleep faster and wake up less frequently during the night. (I wake up a lot.)
