Hey Delaware DUers!!! I got a question for you.

Did any of you get a call from whatever school district that you live in saying that school will be closed on 1/2/07 in observance of "A National Day of Mourning for Gerald Ford"?

I just got one from the Red Clay Consolidated School District's automated system. I thought that I may have heard it wrong and went to the state website. Guess what? It's true!

I don't remember them doing this when Reagan died, do you?

1. Not in DE but in MD.

Our schools are now closed on the 2nd, but it is because they haven't used any snow days so gave an extra day to the winter break. Maybe DE had to same unused snow day and waited long enough to decide and so now can give it a different reason?

Maybe I can get off of work that day - that would be nice
