1. Interesting! Sadly, I don't have a metric scale with me, so I can't finish it yet.

were.

19. Open up a browser window and go to google...
(If you have Firefox, just start typing in the upper right corner window)

Type in "2.75 inches to mm"

and you'll get your answer...

The search window can also do other conversions, and math among other things.

24. LOL! No, the problem is NOT that I don't know how to convert.
It's that I had no scale at all with which to measure.

I've been doing conversion since I was but a small child. Most of the time, I do them in my head, even F to C and C to F.

guess it is my female engineers mind. Fun test though hard, especially what moved, blew that one.

4. I'm not at my best concentrationwise today. Usually I can do well on spacial
things. But I score very high on empathy and that is the kicker for being female I think. At least in my case.

measurement, but without that my brain appears to be 25 to the male side....interesting since I am a woman, but not surprising. I know I'm not a girly girl.

8. Female
Jeez, I hate spatial tests. They make my eyes cross. I just choose at random, and I still got within the average range.

I did great on the "eyes" test, though. When I deal with people face-to-face, they can't get away with trying to bullsh*t me . :7

Right smack in the middle between male and female. Oddly enough, that's what I suspected my score would be before I started.

13. 50% male (I'm female).
Good at spatial, but also did OK with reading the eyes. Makes sense to me, as I love math and science, and was definitely a tomboy growing up. I also take care of most of the repairs and building around the house.

14. If I had to guess
Edited on Sat Dec-30-06 06:31 PM by tbyg52
I'd say I'm split right down the middle--that's how I usually come out on this kind of thing. Going to take it now....

Oh my gosh--do they score by which part bores you the most? I've seldom been so bored as studying objects for a full minute to remember where they are.....

Very nicely done, just from a speed of loading point of view--it's not too bad even on my poky dialup.

Argh.... I'm on "faces," and there's that dorky looking guy again, and there's no choice for "NEITHER!"

I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT! Dead center, a perfect zero! And I can still rotate little shapes in my head!

I'm so easily amused....! ;)

(Edited for typo--I'm guessing that's neither a male nor a female trait..... ;) )

Edited on Sat Dec-30-06 06:33 PM by Arkansas Granny
I did very well on the spatial, spot the difference and the 3D shapes. I've always been a tomboy and have never been accused of being overly feminine.

Edit for typo.

17. Same here (score and gender)
I've always enjoyed math and science more, although I generally compete better in areas involving language. - so I'm surprised I was that far on the male side.

Left-brained - logical (necessary for my career). High on empathy and "systemising." Very interesting test - thanks for the link!

40. Same here, DTBK
I scored exactly average... for a male! I also studied engineering and math, and I think that that vein of thinking makes one more "male" in the brain.

21. Did anyone else notice that the average scores for men who took the survey and for women who took
the survey appear to be identical? My score and those two scores appear to be exactly the same, which apparently means that both men and women are scoring right in the middle.

22. 25 points female brain in a male body
Interesting... I was so sure I was going to score at zero. High empathy scores, high spatial scores. Clincher was probably my preference for masculine features. Not a big surprise there though.

23. Slightly male brain, female self.
I did very well on the rotation and angle problems, abysmally badly on the "which object has changed positon" test (I'm terrible about misplacing things, losing things, or forgetting where I put it just an instant before), and quite well on the "which emotion is shown by these eyes" and the verbal tests.

I was once told that I'm almost equally left-brained and right-brained, and I'd agree with that - both visual and verbal in about equal measures.

27. Also got a zero
I'm female but with high testosterone levels which they mentioned somewhere. I'm surprised I didn't get more on the male side given that anything that most women think is "romantic" makes me want to puke/laugh and yell "You are so full of shit!" and my severe lack of interest in talking about feelings.

35. i've taken it before
don't remember the exact score, but i scored as a male as i suppose all high functioning autistics do, this is considered to be the male brain which i think is stupid really

no one looking at me thinks "male," i guess you will have to trust me on this

you can be female and have a grasp of basic math and little interest in boring stupid-ass facial expressions, really, you can!

41. we all want control!
This task asked you how you would divide money.

If you had to split £50 with someone, you said you would demand £26

So far on the Sex ID test, men have demanded 51.6% (£25.80) of the pot and women have demanded 51.0% (£25.50), on average.

I find it interesting that regardless of sex we all want 51%.

We are equitable only to the point of giving up actual control. What does this say about our chances for a truly equal society if no one will give up control? So much for equality of oppurtunity...
