Critique this bumper sticker, please
I suspect most of you have seen the sticker:

Marriage = 1 M + 1 F

Does this make sense?

Marriage math must be
GENDER NEUTRAL

1. It makes sense to me, but I fear only those of us who already get it
will "get it."

2. Thanks!
I was afraid it might not be as clear as I had hoped.

3. My dear RushIsRot......
I really like your bumpersticker!

I think it should exist.......

Did you design it?

I'd have one for my car!

4. Yes, CaliforniaPeggy, I created it.
I was trying to come up with an answer to the locals who use the other math. I did it in Corel Draw, red with white lettering to match theirs.

5. The second one only makes sense ...
... if the first one is also present. Otherwise, what's "math" got to do with it?

But, "Marriage = 1x + 1x" is still limiting. The number "2" is just a tradition. :)

6. i agree
the first one should be present but should appear as if it was graded as "incorrect" with the teachers comment "gender neutral"

8. I haven't noticed the sticker ...
... but I probably don't pay much attention to bumper stickers. If I wanted to read them I'd have to put my glasses on when I drive.

:)
