I'm all moved!
The internet is set up.

The TiVo works.

My bed is made.

The cats are insane...and literally getting stuck in the walls.

And the living room is FULL of boxes.

But I'm in my new apartment now and so far I love it!

1. Great! When's The Party?
Edited on Sat Dec-30-06 11:02 PM by Southpawkicker
We'll come over and help you warm up your apartment and make a bigger mess while it's still a mess!

Then it will just be one more mess to pick up that won't be a big deal.

In fact, just lay down a drop cloth and you can roll it up and trash it!

Cool!

Congrats!

edit: How about those OSU Cowboys beating Alabama! Woo Hoo!

2. Good idea!
We can all sit on the boxes and play "pull the cat out from behind the heating unit".

It'll be da shit.

I totally missed the game...but Congrats! I'm all about the Big 12 representing! :woohoo:

4. Pull The Cat Out From Behind The Heating Unit!
now that would be da shit!

I caught most of the game, missed a little.

OSU was kicking butt, then almost lost it, tied up at the very end. OSU field goal wins the game with seconds to go! Squeaker, but it goes on the win column!

I mean they were wayyyy ahead at the half.

:hi:

6. It's a fun game
but a bit overrated at 7:30 am.

Damn cat.

I did discover that I'm fairly adept with a butcher knife though. I had no idea that would cut through sub-flooring!

Did I mention that I'm a bit annoyed with the cat? ;)

9. Yeah, that I did
He took the door off the front of the heater, crawled in the wall, and then got stuck in the wall, under the bath tub.

Don't ask me how the hell he managed to do it. :eyes:

14. I'm actually impressed
that he figured out how to take the door off the heater. Beyond that, I think he's just a bit chubby!

Meanwhile, the other cat came into my room, woke me up, and led me to the wall...rather like Lassie.

15. Save Him, Save Him!
Good Lassie!

I guess it is impressive that he took the door off the heater!

That's quite a cat. Better keep an eye on him. He'll be taking other doors off and leaving.

3. My dear huskerlaw!
How wonderful! It didn't take you long to find a new one, did it?

Hope you have more space at less rent! Oh yeah!

Do you still use the light rail to get to work?

Congrats!

5. It worked out really well!
One of my friends lost her roomie on Dec. 1st, my lease was up today...so I moved in!

It's a 2 bedroom, so there is more space. And it cut my rent in HALF! :bounce:

It's also a better neighborhood, which is exciting. There is a LOT of things within walking distance.

And yes, I'll still take the subway. I'm a bit closer to work, but further from the subway line. So I add in a 5 minute bus trip, but it ends up taking about the same amount of time (I think...haven't actually done it yet).

At half the rent! :bounce: :bounce:

It sounds awesome!

Good on ya!

:toast:

Happy New Year!

10. Yup, I have a roomate
for the first time since...um...2000?

I think it will work out fine though, we get along really well.

And I can put up with quite a bit for HALF the rent! ;)

13. Nope...now I'm in Studio City!
I like the neighborhood better. My old apartment complex was surrounded by construction, and very little else.

Now I'm in a cute little quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of basically everything.
