Well today thoroughly sucked |
|
Traveling back home from "vacation", I was stuck at the Albany airport for 4 hours (there is not nearly enough to do there) because of fog in Washington. Not fortunately for me the flight out of DC was delayed an equal amount of time due to fog, so no harm, no foul. Except for my luggage. One bag somehow managed to beat me to Austin and the other is lost in the ozone somewhere. Since I flew United (which has no flights out of the city in which I live) they may not be able to deliver the bag to me. WTF? Why not use UPS or something; they have my address. I'd be happy if they just found it. They I could pick it up at the local airport if need be. As of right now I need to go buy toothpaste because I couldn't carry it on with me, stupid carryon rules. After reaching Austin, I had to get my car and drive home. So I am finally here and I have to go to the store. I had no sleep last night and not much on the plane but I had so much caffeine I don't think I can sleep anyway.

1. Gawd, They Usually Just Drive It To Ya! |

I've had lost luggage several times and it was on the doorstep the next morning.
In a different town than the airport too.
Good luck
lost luggage sucks
When I flew back from Colorado recently my luggage got there about 6 hours before I did. The plane I was on was 3 hours late.
Go figure.

3. To make matters worse the guy that took my claim |
|
did not fill out the form correctly. So I have no baggage report number for me to locate it. And I gave him the claim check too, so I don't have that either. I have the phone number for the guy but he is not answering. And I have no idea how to contact anyone else. I call the United automated line and they do not know where my bag is. Fuckers. All of them.

I'm thinking United has totally fucked up this holiday season
they were the mainstay at Denver that couldn't keep their planes flying, they screwed up and sent my bags 6 hours ahead of me but couldn't send me? Now they've screwn you with your bags and don't even have the form filled out so you can track them!
I hope that your bags don't have medicines or things that you need right this minute.
The automated line is probably in fucking India or maybe even Afghanistan.
Sorry, this is pissing me off too! I don't know what to tell you though.
I imagine that going to the airport (in a different damned town I know) if you don't get it back in a day or two is the only solution I can think of and hounding the United desk.
Maybe there is some other number for them?
Airlines and their automated services and outsourcing have not helped reduce anything but service.

2. Oh and the toilet overflowed while I was gone |
|
The floor was wet. I hope it was just water. I think it happened today though. Guess I need to mop but it can wait until tomorrow
