It's 7:17 am here and the sky toward the East is starting to turn the most beautiful shades of dark purple and pink. I've been up for about an hour--not because I *have* to be, but because I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep.

Also, my kitten is stalking my obviously-evil big toe. I think it committed the horrific crime of wiggling a little under the desk. Therefore, it must die.

I seriously wish our digital camera was working. We have the most BEAUTIFUL sunrise spilling out across the sky right now. I'm tempted to wake up ThinkBlue1966 to make her go see it, but she'll probably tell me to stick my sunrise where the sun don't shine. She worked late last night.

Yesterday afternoon... After three days of snow, snow, and snow. (Did I mention, snow?)

The storm finally broke and we had the best sunset I've seen in awhile.

Speaking of cameras, I think I've finally figured out how to photograph sun rises/settings.
I try to include more ground than sky. All these years I've been doing it incorrectly. Now,
I set the top of the frame at the lowest point of color and the rest is surface/trees/whatever.
It's easy to include scenery with the snow.

This little boy is 12 ounces of savage terror, I'm tellin' ya. He spent all night last night running the Indicatapolis 500 across our bed and up onto the computer desk. I woke up to see about 50 Windows "Help" windows open across the screen. :rofl:

21. Nice to spend the holidays

with your Mom and her bf. It's nice to get away.

I've been just cocooning this weekend. Supposed to go to a party tonight, but forecast is calling for freezing rain, so I just might stay home. Actually I'm really not in the party mood right now anyway. But we'll see what the day brings.

Sometimes it's hard to watch all of that "couple time". Don't get me wrong, I'm exceedingly happy for those that have someone, but for us that don't, well . . . at times it can be a little melancholy.

32. I do miss my cat!

She usually sits behind me while I'm on DU. But no warmth on my chair today. Sometimes I sense she's coming around the corner, but she's not there either. But she lived a good life and I'm grateful for all the time I had with her.

35. My friends were

a great help. They arrived on the 22nd and stayed until the 25th. We had such fun, and the activity kept my mind off my cat. Spent the night of the 25th at another friends place so that day was good too. But Tuesday night, my first night alone without my cat was hard. In the morning I thought I felt her at the foot of the bed. Everyday gets better though.

AirmensMom and I had a brief discussion about getting another kitty. Right now I don't think I will. My schedule is so sporadic, I don't think it would be fair to bring a new animal into my home. AirmensMom said the same thing, but as you well know, she did get more kitties. Don't think I'm quite ready yet, and I don't dare go take a look at any because I think my residence would be low.

Oh I suspect he knows that you're still around. He may just text you first. That would be nice.

I know what you mean with a new kitten. It is the same for me. As much as I would love to have a new kitten I am not getting once because it would be unfair to the cat. But one day ....
MissAirmens just has a good heart to give all those kitties a wonderful home (or garden). And she even let Sylvester come in, even though he was supposed to stay outside ... LOL

Used to IM with a former bf while he was on the road. He was one prolific writer. He's one of the few formers that I truly miss.
