Another year over.. I wish you all peace on this new year ahead.

So 2006 is almost finished and a new one will start in a few hours. I'm in the process of cleaning my house for the 4th annual "Johnnie's New Year fantabulous blow out extravaganza" and I sat down for a little break and got to thinkin'.

My friends will soon be coming here along with some of my family and even people I don't know as well. All are welcome and I am looking forward to spending time with my family, friends and others. The kids will be here playing around, the musicians will be in the studio playing whatever strikes our fancy and the others will hopfully have fun doing whatever they do.

I sat down and just thought to myself, "self..", I thought, "you're a pretty lucky guy". Each year this party has grown and the feeling of knowing that these people are coming to be together for nothing else than just to enjoy each other is a great feeling.

I wish I had a huge house and enough money to fly you all here to partake in the celebration. Tonight won't be about wars, death, politics, bush, money, Ford, smoking and anything else that takes too much thought. Tonight will be about enjoying the family I have and the friends I have made. Friends that have remained with me through all my crap and bullshit I put people through.

Tonight is about the love I feel for the people I know and how lucky I am to have these people share in part of my life. It could all end tomorrow, but I would go out knowing how many wonderful people have come into my life.

I would like to extend my heartfelt wishes for all of you here at DU for a peaceful and fantastic 2007. I am truly happy to know you all, even if it is just to read a post, or comment on something you said. DU is another part of my life, like my family, my friends and my whatever else..

Peace to you all, and try to enjoy the people in your life tonight, if not any other day. A year is just a time frame, but it is a good way to bracket in your life in sections and help to move on to the next stage.

7. It started out as a way for the band to jam for new years

Now it is mandatory..lol. A lot of other musicians are here also, so everyone gets a chance, I even give the kids their time to beat on the instruments for a while too. They love it :)

My family and I went out for a great lunch.

Then later tonight I am going up to my man's house. A few friends are stopping by. We will eat. We will drink. We will laugh. We will dance.
