A-B-C-D-E-F-G
Edited on Sun Dec-31-06 02:56 PM by RetroLounge
God, these damn books are heavy! I am moving 5000 of them out of my apartment.

I have the car packed with 'G' right now and am off to deliver them to the bookstore-in-the-basement at my house.

Friday and Yesterday I moved A-F and put them on their proper shelves, alphabatized by author.

At this rate, I might be done by February. :D But it will be worth it. I have room in the basement for another 25,000 books, which are in boxes still.

Then I set up my wireless router and set the laptop in the basement and have my workstation all ready to go so I can get back to listing more books for sale.

I could really use a personal assistant; anyone want to help? :9

Be back after unloading...

2. Ohhhh . . .
nice offer, but only if I can tele-commute. You're a little south of me. And I'm really not ready to give up my full-time job.

Hypothetical question. If you were going to be at a dinner and Ellen Kort, First Wisconsin Poet Laureate was going to be in attendance, what question would you ask her? Most of my poem experience comes from reading your daily selections. Before that, my brain was poem resistant.

7. I am not familiar with her
I would go first and buy her books, read her poems, then ask her about her writing process.

and also to sign the book I bring with... :D

11. Sound advice,
but the dinner is highlighting a Wisconsin author, I've read two of that authors books, and just about to start a third. Good thing these things don't intimidate me. Ms. Kort is a guest. And oh yes, definitely book signing - hopefully for both.

Good luck with it, RL! I'm jealous of all those books! 'Course, I'd never get any work done; I'd be too busy reading the inventory!

have a DU meetup at your place, but people have to carry a box of books in order to get the beer!

You'd have 'em all moved in no time flat.
