9. Some kind of red wine from Spain.
You can get good and phenomenally cheap wines from Spain, Argentina, and Chile these days -- well under ten bucks per bottle. I was at a liquor store the 31st and ran across the wine rep from a major wholesale distributor, and of course she's extremely knowledgeable. Bought four different reds, spent only $30.

32. Pirates
Edited on Fri Jan-02-04 11:20 PM by supernova
along with Edward Scissorhands is his finest work, IMO.

Disney is pushing him for an oscar nom, as they should. Pirates is a pretty good movie, but he put it over the top. No way people would have gone back to see it 8, 9, even 20 times without him. Yes, I know people who did this. :D

There is even a Pirates interactive project (a la Rocky Horror Picture Show) in tribute. B-)

I watch the DVD every few days and I find something new each time.

edit: glad you enjoyed it!

46. Thanks!
Good to be back and at my own computer (set up my own way with DSL as opposed to my sister's old win98 model with lots of spyware and other mismanaged operating problems, with a dialup that never goes above 40k).

Yes, nice to have own computer!

Martinis are easy to make - just pour lots of gin over ice, add a touch of vermouth, stir it until it's cold (Bond prefers shaken, but clear drinks should be stirred - but, go with your own taste of course) then strain it out into a chilled martini glass and enjoy. :-)

Since alcoholism runs in my family, I don't wanna start drinking the hard stuff regularly, just in case I'm genetically predisposed to that horrid disease. And considering my addiction to chocolate, I'd say it's a very real possibility!
