Short rant: Local Fox affiliate still playing Christmas music during |
|
commercial breaks. Its January 2nd now. I'm sick of hearing the Madison County High School's lame version of "Angels We Have Heard on High"; I'm sick of "Silent Night"! Enough, already.
It started before Labor Day, for Christsake! Books-a-Million had ornaments out in mid-August. WalMart had decorations and displays out by mid-September. Almost 4 months have elapsed-ENOUGH ALREADY! Let the "other" (non-Christmas)season begin.

Malcolm in the Middle, King of the Hill, and (the story of my life) Arrested Development! (Sorry, I'm an over grown child in far too many ways)

4. And "holiday coupons" expired on December 31. |
|
Wanted to get some KFC tonight, had a great holiday coupon, but it expired on Dec. 31. Wish it would hang around as long as Fox's stupid Christmas music. LOL!

8. And I'm an Episcopalian! |
|
I should have thought of that. This year we didn't decorate or do much of anything, so I guess I'm just in a negative mood. Last year we didn't pack up decorations until around January 5th!

9. Yes, Christmas BEGINS on Dec. 25 |
|
and ends on Jan. 6. So technically, you should be bitching about Christmas carols BEFORE Dec. 25 (should only be playing Advent carols then), and then bitch about advent carols AFTER Dec. 25.
We're all messed up, but church-calendar speaking, the four weeks before Christmas is Advent, a time of waiting, and then Christmas actually lasts 12 days (from the time of Jesus' birth to the time of epiphany, that is, when the wise men show up in the story)
