DRUMS -- does anyone know anything about them??
I need to solve a problem for a family member.

My 3-year-old niece received a drum kit for Christmas from her estranged father (who is not allowed to see her, as he's under investigation for child abuse). It's very nice, red-wine in color, and is a "MARK II" brand. It's the right size and height for a 3 or 4 year old.

My sister has asked me to find out how much it's worth and investigate selling it. He hasn't paid child support in four months, and they're hungry. I don't have a job, or I'd help out, of course.

How much is something like that worth? How would I go about selling it? My sister and I know NOTHING about musical instruments and have no idea where to start.

Thanks very much. Could y'all please help me keep this thread kicked until at least this evening? The situation is pretty desperate. Thanks.

If it does, take what you can get...

I used to work in the drum department of a music store. I am very knowledgable on this.

Anything that is the "perfect size" for a 3-4 year old is about a 50 bucks at the most.

I would put it on E-bay and let the buyer pay shipping. That's your best bet.

**edited for price clarity! LOL!

4. no, that's not what it looks like
it has several more pieces. I don't know how to post a picture on here -- the closest thing I found on the internet was priced at $419.99 on Christmas special.

Someone suggested a local music store -- that's probably the easiest idea. Thanks.

5. We just got my 3yo a drumset for Christmas.
A 5 piece drumset that is more like for a 5yo and up. It has CB Drums on the base.

The price was 279.00 plus tax.

3. Check out ebay
and see if there are similar drum kits selling there. That should give you an idea. Then go to a local music store, explain your predicament, and see what they will give you. Good luck.
