What Tax Software do you use? |
|
I have a mac, and the only one I know of is TurboTax for Macs. But I heard that has spyware bundled with it. Anyone know a better solution? Maybe Kiplinger's Tax Cut?

I could do that for myself, because I can do a 1040EZ. But my Mom owns her own business and has many extra schedules that go with it, and since I do her taxes, software makes it easier.

a free package that I got from a link on the IRS site. It was easy and free. So, what if they spied on me? They'd find out I'm in debt up to my arse and thieving my identity would only be good for a laugh.

together with a calculator...pencil and eraser (in case I make any mistakes). For delivery to the IRS masters, I use the USPS 1.0 delivery system.

I was just asking for those who USE A SOFTWARE PROGRAM, what they recommended. Instead I get a thread half full of response by people being rude smart-alecs...

8. Oh come on....I was just joking. |

But seriously, I have never used a tax software program. No need to. Just like I still don't do "online checking"... I like to feel as if I have "some sort" of control over my finances. Putting all this information onto a monitor screen just doesn't "feel" right.

It is free to download and print your return. The e-file option is like 10 bucks or something. Used it last year.

$80 to do federal, state and local including electronic filing. Plus, I get great refunds.
TurboTax might be good, but consider your local CPAs...sometimes it's more than worth it.
