Driving into work this morning down I-35 I had some idiot driving the speed-limit in the left lane. People bug me that think it's their civic duty to ensure everyone is driving the speed-limit.

You're no longer allowed to drive in the left lane for more than a half mile, even if you're going over the speed limit, unless you're passing, paying a toll, avoiding snow/a tow truck/an accident/massive congestion, or exiting.

I'm usually the last one off the plane as I refuse to be part of the ridiculous traffic jam as people try to get off the plane. Because I am 6'5", I usually get an aisle seat so I can stretch out, where I remain until the cabin has cleared out.
What REALLY pisses me off is when people lean up and pull their stuff out of the overhead bins and, because they are too far away to adequately grasp what they're reaching for, it hits me square on the head.
One woman even had the nerve to say after I admonished her for nearly cracking my skull open: "Well if you weren't still sitting down, it wouldn't have happened"
Much unpleasantness ensued, which ended with me telling the woman "Bite me bitch"

people who cut in line in traffic. When a lane is merging to one and for some reason some people feel they can go as far as they can without getting in line like the rest...then push their way in. Just because some people are in a vehicle I guess the non-human contact gives them the right to butt in line.

For example, when I am on the bus or subway(or in any public place)and someone is having a very personal conversation right next to me(why is that people talking on cell phones talk louder than if the person was sitting right next to them?).Also people who walk around talking on the cell phones and plow right into you, because they are unable to see where they're going while talking.(They probably can't walk and chew gum at the same time, either).I realize that cell phones are here to stay...unfortunately. It would be nice if the merest hint of good manners could be employed by their users, though.

|
Especially in the magazines I already subscribe to. And there's never just ONE. There must be a rule that there can be no fewer than 10 or 11.
I don't get mad, though, I get even.
I remove them from each magazine when it arrives and send them back blank. They are postage paid, which means the offending publisher has to pay the postage to recieve it back in the mail.
I must send out 50 to 60 a month. Will it stop them from inserting them in the magazine? Probably not. Does it make me feel better? YES!

40. VelmaD... I... I think I love you |

I have spent 43 years of my life trying to get people to spell y'all correctly!!! Also, when I moved up here to Michigan, I found that everyone falls over laughing when you use the word y'all, a word which, to me, is as natural as breathing. I remember a girl I worked with coming down the hall laughing, saying, "Oh my God, she even uses 'y'all' in her memos!" I said, yeah, I do, so what? My husband grew up in England, he cringes when I say it. And yet it sounds so perfect to my ears!
I'm from Ft. Worth, BTW.:hi:

Also, this abuse of the apostrophe HAS to stop soon, or I'll go on a shooting rampage.
