The guy across the street is a genuine Neo-Con!
Retired Army, lives across the street from my GF's mom. Everything about him "ship-shape and Bristol fashion" (IOW, he's 100% pure Anal)

I wasn't there to hear it, but my GF said he was going on today about how the war is good "Because we NEED that Oil!"....OMG! A honest-to-goodness "how did their sand get on top of OUR oil" guy!

Old shit like that lives, and young, 20-something helio pilots have to die? Life sure ain't fair....

5. Not sure it has anything to do with age.
The age of reserve and guard ranges in the 50's and grandmothers are serving in Iraq.

My last encounter with a 20 something was the young lady calling me a traitor...she didn't like my "Bush Lies, Soldiers Die" bumper sticker.

6. At least the bloodthirsty old fart is honest about it
The Republicans that I know are so hypocritical, going on about humanitarianism and democracy and freedom, when I never once heard them express an opinion in favor of those things before for any other country. They want their oil and political advantage from war and terrorism, but act so patriotic about how they are "supporting the troops."

It makes me sick and I've told them, but they don't listen to me.

9. Hey BF454...
sounds like you aren't all that far from me. I sometimes do some hunting down around Ingraham (Hunt, actually, but I didn't want to confuse). How is the jalapeno sausage? I have mine done in Nacogdoches at a place called Clark's and they aren't very good with their spicy stuff, so this year I just had burger, roasts and the usual backstrap and tenderloin packages done. Next year will be a different matter.

10. Klein's in Pflugerville is the best I have ever had.
He is a very old german man. He learned this from his parents. He does 50-50 jalapeno sausage, 50-50 spicy, jerky, hard salami, dried cured sticks, and he does quartering and steaks and all that but you can do that yourself if you have a filet knife. It only takes me about 45 minutes to chop up a deer after I get it hanging and skinned in the backyard. My filet knife is free. I can make steaks, chili meat, cubes for stew, backstrap for chicken fried steak, anything you want. I only turn in meat for processing into hard salami and jalapeno sausage. PM me if you want this guys number......bearfan454
