3. There are two things I really love at DU
1. When people post to something which they have most obviously not read (whether it's a linked article, or even, quite commonly, just the entire post of the thread originator)

2. When people post to a thread and don't bother to read any of the other posts. This is especially funny when they are pulling a number 1, or when the thread is a call for help or an answer, which has already been heeded and/or answered 10 times, and the thread originator has already posted a thanks and "all is taken care of", and yet, there will always some doofus who will post some 15 hours laters, making like post 40, it will be almost verbatim the text from posts 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, 14, 17, 21, 22, 23, 28, 31, 32, 36, and 38.

5. Haha..
it's especially hilarious if you look to see that it's in the "Editorials and other articles" forum. Why go in there if you don't have any intention of reading the articles?

7. Well
I'm not trying to defend anyone on that thread, but sometimes I have to hit my hand with a hammer to keep from speed reading stuff.

9. pretty funny.
I was polite at the time - trying to get folks to read it (not just react to a title without reading it at all.) But guess it was to fun to do the reflexive post and not bother reading anyother. So - on re-read - yep its pretty funny.

10. I will admit, that I would often read...
snipets, and then post in a thread.

However, being a fast learner, I soon realized this was not enough to get by. It really does pay to read the ENTIRE story/article/opinion BEFORE letting my fingers do the walking.

If ignornace is bliss, there are a lot of smiling people; not just on the right, but here as well.

Thanks for the AM chuckle NSMA!!!!!!

BTW: how's it going w/ Cocoa?

:loveya:

11. You actually expect us to READ
the article links before we comment on them?!?!? You certainly have very high expectations. ;-)

12. Is it bad if I noticed
that most of the people who apparently didn't read the article seemed kind of. . .new?

13. To be fair, that's why posters need to be careful what they snip
And try to get the switch in as well as the bait....

Not that I have much sympathy for the ones who comment on an article without reading it first (altho I've been guilty of just skimming, myself!)...
