Someone PLEASE say something nice about George W. Bush |
|
This is from one of several threads at GD 2004. I wasn't sure I could post this there.
Bush is NOT, by any means, going to win in 2004. He's done more to damage this country than the previous 42 Presidents.
I'll start....

He knows how to strut like a pimp in heat across a flight deck.
He's a very devout man. When he gets down on his knees and prays to Satan, he really means it.
He donates huge amounts of federal cash to his favorite charity, "The Orphaned CEO Fund".
He hasn't accidentally shot anyone while hunting.
He has that special skin tone that looks good in orange prison clothing.

You've got to give him some credit. Somehow, some way, he became president, despite having zero qualifications for the job. Here's a man who proudly declared having a "C" average in college. A man who, by all accounts, did absolutely nothing until age 40, aside from drinking. He got a DUI when he was 30. As a comparison, Bill Clinton was elected Attorney General in Arkansas when he was 28.
Bush attempted many a business venture, all which failed. He was a bit more successful with the Texas Rangers.
From all I've read he wasn't a very good governor, either.
And, after becoming President, his administration was able to bully the Washington press corps into submission, guaranteeing that negative press coverage would be at a minimum.
He's a bad president, but he very successfully became a bad president.

while he's alienated the world community through his divisiveness, stupidity and self serving acts he is so transparent that it's obvious he doesn't represent all Americans. Bush has actually created hope for his successor to mend foreign affairs after he's kicked out of office. All is not lost.

I'm one of those people who are very angry about the state of this country. I tried to see if I can be a bit dispassionate...to try and objectively understand why Bush has such high approval ratings. Maybe just to see if there are any positive aspects of George W. Bush...playing devil's advocate on a cold, blustery winter day, I suppose.
But it's a complete failure. Just a waste of time. There just isn't anything nice to say about George W. Bush. Nothing.

That is, he did run for Congress in the 1970s, but he lost.
So he's only been messing things up since the 1990s. Imagine what he could do if he'd been in control of a country for, say, twenty years!
And as others have remarked, the fact he's lazy and takes a lot of time off has probably saved a lot of lives!
