I've only got 1, and he deserves it. So - after 7 months and only finding 1 intolerable DU:er, hey that's no so bad!

The little sleeping man above the posts puts them on an ignore list which can be changed at any time.

8. If I get mad at someone, I'll put them on ignore - but not for long... |
|
Either I eventually clear the list, or I see a reply from "IGNORED" so I unignore the name to see what they had said. So far I've always agreed with them so I didn't put them back on ignore. :D
Personally, ignore is a stupid function. Every single one of us eventually says something that might insult somebody else, *GASP!*. It's the other person's problem if they get upset. The best we can do is explain ourselves if we really care to rebuild bridges. And, who knows, the same people who say something objectionable may have something of value to say later on.
What's the point of a society if we prefer to ignore everybody we don't agree with? (Tangent: this is the downfall of America; repukes and Dems bashing each other, with repukes thinking that bipartisanship is about the Dems catering to their every whim; meaning the public continually gets screwed in the process because the pukes prefer their special interest groups (corporations.))
Sadly, those who have me on ignore will never learn of this maudlin truism...

All people who've said idiotic things about my candidate. I'm planning to empty the list when our candidate is chosen and see if they're still bashing the Democrat.

I purged my ignore list. O8)
I only had 2 on it though. I don't do it to be closed minded, mean, or vindictive. People have different personalities, and some just don't mix well whether in real life or on a message board. I see no reason to subject myself to those people thus adding more annoyance to life when a viable alternative exists. ;)

and that happened by "mistake" or some subconscious intent. It hadn't occurred to me to do that, then suddenly it was done as I wondered what the zzz icon was I unintentionally clicked while reaching for my glass- I saw "Ignored" in the reply listing and thought, Ohhhh Yeaaahh. THAT'S what Elad was talking about. (Hey, what I find very interesting is being able to clearly see how the poster in EVERY THREAD, simply "baits" others by the tone of their replies. I've considered doing it, this time consciously, with a few who I'm surprised have not as yet been tombstoned, but scrolling has always worked for me.
