*phew* Got my dedicated film scanner working again... |
|
I hope it holds up for my latest batch of film.
Once done, I'm going to HAVE to go digital. (I posted in another thread, hoping to get other users' opinions of their cameras but a web url given to me has made up for it.)
Maybe prices will drop by April. :) My P&S digital can last that long...

1. Do you have the PrimeFilm scanner? |
|
I have one -- it does negatives and slides. Unfortunately, it doesn't do slides well so I feel like I wasted my money on it.

2. Nope. Nikon Coolscan V ED. Does film and slides great... |
|
But after 2.5 years of moderate use it's starting to grind. :(
My next scanner will be a higher quality flatbed, though I know the sensors used in those aren't as good. (The Canon 8600f is said to be very good, even for a flatbed, but is prone to breaking down - sigh, what happened to reliability? Entropy is inevitable, but still.)
