1. The squirrels at my home run in gangs..
and wear leather jackets. They destroyed a lot of stuff two years ago so I quit feeding the birds and they have thinned out considerably since. BUT, I still enjoy watching their antics and interaction.

3. my backyard squirrels run my life.
i feed them peanuts.

they even come to my backdoor to say ''i'm here -- where are you?''

i even have little squirrel pawprints on the door to prove it.

i have one who just LOVES me -- she always has to touch me with one paw when she gets a peanut -- and she'll sit next to me to eat it.

one came up and pushed me on my back when i was sitting out back -- to say ''hey peanut boy -- get busy.''

4. Are all these squirrels from one area?
I love the different colors. We only have grey squirrels here. (And tiny red ones)

6. They can also...
- jump out of trash cans as you're walking by and scare you half to death
- try to steal food from you when you eat outside
- drive your friend's dog absolutely bonkers when they run up into the trees and he can't figure out where they went

I love 'em, though. We have some psychotic squirrels on campus, but they're cute and fun (for the most part), and I'm probably going to miss them when I graduate next year. :(

7. I think they are really cool.
We don't have too many living around our house....a few...but, at our cottage there are thousands. Lots of big old oaks and nut trees, so plenty of food. I watched them hiding there food this past fall -- they were so busy. Sure hope they remember where they put it all.

My son, who is going to graduate school in Orlando, says that the squirrels down there are a bit more aggressive compared to ours here in the Northeast.
