4. I have watched this move many times. |
|
Could someone explain it to me.
The movie jumps around so much it is hard to follow.

5. I had a hard time figuring it out too. |
|
I thought I had it all figured out when he kills himself, but then the movie goes on for a while and I got confused again.

6. There are 3 different people. |
|
The ugly guy, the nice looking guy , and old Bruce.
They like to kill bad guys.
Also there is a lot of blood.
I thought Kill Bill had a lot of blood.

|
Kill Bill was exciting and sweet and sad and funny.
Sin City was so one-note. :-(

7. I despised that movie. We felt assaulted by it and should've walked out. |
|
Graphic, gratuitous violence under the auspices of "stylistic" just don't cut it for me. The movie was shit.

I have to admire how the director(s) knew which buttons to push.

8. Since I like stylized films, I was looking forward to seeing it.... |
|
then I heard that all of the women in the film were prostitutes and the men were thugs.
I totally lost interest at that point.

I'm not very sensitive, but I found it appalling in the depiction of women.

Probably the best-looking movie I've ever seen, stylewise.
It's also extremely faithful to the comic book, which was great.

|
What was the movie about.
Was there more to the book then there was in the movie.

15. Well, it was based on various storylines in the comic books. |
|
The Bruce Willis/Jessica Alba story was based on "That Yellow Bastard," the Clive Owen/Rosario Dawson story was based on "The Big Fat Kill," and the Mickey Rourke story was based on "A Dame to Kill For."
All three storylines were in the original comic series, and they were combined into one movie.

Seeing Frodo as a serial killer was delicious and all those HOT yet DEADLY young ladies, WOWSERS! I guess I'll remain a geeky fan-boy for life! I agree with an earlier poster that this was one of the best, (if not the best), comic book adaptation out there. c

17. I enjoyed it the one time I saw it |
|
Very stylish cinematography.
Plot/character-wise (both the film and the original comic from whence the film sprang - at least the particular comic in the series I read), I'd have to agree with some of the other posters. The whole Men = macho thugs, Women = macho whores premise was contemptibly comic book-y. Puerile adolescent male nonsense.

It's always on when my 4-year-old is around and I don't want him to watch it since it's so violent.

I have the graphic novels the movie is based on, and it was cool to see shots in the movie that matched exactly some of the panels in the books. I think the segment based on "A Dame to Kill For" was my favorite. I definitely didn't look at Elijah Wood the same way after that, either!
300 is out next month, and I can't wait. The one trailer I've seen looks incredible.
I've heard Miller'd like to bring Hard Boiled to the big screen, too.

I have a soft spot for Marv's part of the movie....:D
"Hell will seem like heaven, after the hell I've put him through"
"Thats one fine jacket you got there"
"So I gave him the hard goodbye"....:D
