UFO abducts New Mexico man in broad daylight

Albuquerque, NM (AP) - In the most disturbing encounter with an alleged alien space craft, Santa Fe resident Ron Alvarez was abducted by an alien spacecraft in front of the Eldorado Hotel & Spa. Mr. Alvarez was reported missing by the foreman of a construction site he was employed at on January 25, 2007. As his case was one of many missing persons reports filed each day, it did not receive immediate attention until the Santa Fe Police Department received the security camera footage in the mail. After enhancement of the video, SFPD investigators were able to determine the footage came from the Eldorado.

The cause of Mr. Alvarez's disappearance remained quiet, until Friday, when Maggie Shepard crime reporter for the The Albuquerque Tribune, received an anonymous e-mail containing both the surveillance footage and the police report."

16. It looks like the site yanked the story. While the URL is consistent...

...with other stories on the site (See here for stories published today, click on one, look at URL) it's unusually and uncharacteristically brief ("alvarez-abduction") compared to all other stories posted today. One would expect of such sensational news that the headline would not be that brief given their format. "Alvarez Abduction" does not sell papers or get clicks. That last portion of the URL appears to be named, according to their format, with the same name as the article's title.

  Looks like it was a hoax/hack. If it was real, based on their other links and stories, it would have a much longer descriptive title. Anyone still curious can click on a few stories and look at the URLs to see what I mean.
