Who here can't let mistakes slide?
I'm going apeshit right now because I just realized a spelling error was in the story I sent to a major paper here. I don't know if they are even running the story, or if they just wanted a pic. But if they run it and haven't changed the error (I spelled a local village name wrong) I'll freak out for certain. I'm all ready peaking about it...calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean.

Anyone else have this problem?

3. Can you file a correction?
I'm pretty hard on myself about mistakes, but I get corrections from freelancers all the time. No big deal.

My only hope is that the copy editor catches it...if not it's no BIG deal the town is so small now one will have heard of it. But still.

7. Calgary Sun, don't count on it
That thing is always full of typos. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings. You may want to get hold of them.

What's the town? PM me if you don't want to say it here.

9. It's called self assessment skills
Not a bad thing to have. Maybe you can just call them up and point out the error. I get angriest at myself also.

11. maybe the editor will catch it then
I'm not too keen on the Calgary Sun myself. I liked the Edmonton paper better. It'll be ok.

Don't feel bad. If it was me, the next 24 hrs would be me smackin my head.

Like the polar bear pic. :)
