Does anybody know if you can plug a joystick into a COM port? |
And make it work, I mean. I'm having trouble with the new motherboard, my Soundblaster doesn't like my joystick any more.

You need a "game" port. Not even the same pin count as a serial port. :)

4. Many joysticks use the USB ports now. |
Is that an option for you? (ie: does your machine have a USB port?)

5. no, it won't work and you'll blow the UART chip |
you may be having a board conflict. You need to turn off the joystick compatability on the motherboard and let the soundblaster do it
