What FAKE email address is the one you use most often? You know... on pesky web pages that require you to provide private information before they will let you advance to the next page (or before they will allow you to download a simple patch/update).
Once apon a time, I entered "nobody@nowhere.com" and they were already filtering it out. I got an error message that said "please enter a VALID email address". (Those sneaky bastards.)

3. I keep a separate free email account for that kind of crap... |
|
A spare hotmail or yahoo account works fine for that sort of thing. They can spam that email address to their heart's content and leave my real email address alone.

11. Yep... I've Got A Spare Hotmail Account Too |

for those times when a truly fake email address just won't work. For example, when I might actually need to receive the temporary password they are about to email me. Or when they are "sneaky" enough to require me to send a reply to their confirmation email message. Grrr.
However, by using a totally fake email address, I get a small amount of satisfaction (if that's the correct word) in knowing that the spam they send will be bounced back to them as undeliverable. (Maybe.)
I like the fact that my Avant browser (IE engine) will remember field data and give me a dropdown menu of previous entries. I just type "n" and the full email address appears for me to select.

14. notavailable@kissmyass.com |
|
or notavailable@noneofyourbusiness.com or noneofyourbusiness@kissmyass.com
Sometimes I even abbreviate it noyb@xmyass.com
I use both depending on whether I feel like swearing. I even made the suggestion to my mom and she uses it, or something like it too. Like an unpublished phone number, I never give my e-mail address to anyone I don't want to hear from.

I can use anyname@mydomain.com
When i need to supply my email address I use the name of the company I gave my adress to. For instance when signing up for freerepublic I could use the address Freerupublic@mydoain.com(as an example not that i would sign up at the freeper site). If i every receive mail for freerepublic@mydomain.com I know that freerepulic was the ones who sold my name.
