Can anyone here WRITE in ARABIC? |
|
It is my son's birthday tomorrow. He just finished his first semester in Arabic, and has been busting his butt in that class. When I make his cake, I want to write Happy Birthday in Arabic on top of it.
I've already had him show me how to write his name in Arabic, so I've got that on paper, can enlarge it and copy it. But when I go to a translation site to translate "Happy Birthday" the font is so miniscule, I can't decipher it well enough to copy it. I tried cutting and pasting into Word, but that CHANGED it! I don't know WHAT it did, but it didn't look the same and probably made it say something completely different!
So, can anyone help me with a web-site, a scan, or ANY way to be able to get the words Happy Birthday in Arabic large enough that I can copy it onto a cake? :)
THANK YOU, or should I say UOY KNAHT

They're English and Arabic versions of the same birthday card: http://ecards.fares.net/cgi-bin/pcs1.cgi?card=&kined=Normal http://ecards.fares.net/cgi-bin/pcs1.cgi?card=&kined=Normal I am assuming that the headline on the Arabic version of the card also says "Happy Birthday." (Of course, I don't know what the words on the candle would be.)

6. It HAS been really hard for him |
|
languages don't come that easily for him anyway, and it's not like Arabic is a 'gimme' course! He works with a tutor, as well, and has even been keeping up with the tutoring now in between semesters, just to be better prepared for Arabic II.
I never would have had the gumption to take this on, but his Political Science major is with an emphasis on Africa, so he figured it would be the most useful language for that major. Something tells me his work ethic genes came from his father, not from me!
