Man Survives Nail To Head (with video)

RAPID CITY, S.D. -- A man was shot in the head with a nail gun while working at a construction site Jan. 2.

Jed Bryant (pictured, left) was working on a wall beneath a co-worker who was using a nail gun.

When the nail gun was fired, 90 pounds of pressure shot a 3.5-inch nail into Bryant's skull.

Bryant went into shock as a helicopter transported him to Rapid City Regional Hospital for surgery. Surgeons removed the nail in less than two hours.

Cool xrays! A centimeter either way and he'd have been paralyzed or blinded...
